NEP Connect is heavily involved with the British Cricket calendar, and this is no different with The Hundred tournament. All the Venues feature on NEP Connect Anylive Network, as we provided the host feed for the entire tournament, which was broadcasted in the UK on Sky Sports and the BBC, which won Best Sport Production of the Year. Through this network, NEP Connect also created a link between these cricket venues, Sky’s Osterley HQ and AE Live(their graphics providers), which allowed the award-winning graphics to be delivered remotely.

NEP Connect is at the heart of the broadcasting of English football. All 92 Football League clubs and all 12 Women’s Super League clubs are part of NEP Connect’s Anylive Network. This made NEP Connect perfect candidates to work with ITV on their coverage of the FA Cup, where presenter Ian Wright was recognised for his exemplary work in front of the camera at the Broadcast Sport awards, winning Pundit of the Year.

The big award of the night was Sports Broadcaster of the Year, which was won by BBC Sport. NEP Connect is proud to have worked on so many amazing projects this year, including the 6 Nations, Women’s Euros, The Hundred and the Rugby League World Cup (that is currently taking place) that have all been broadcasted on the BBC. BBC Sport presenter Gabby Logan also won Presenter of the Year. The summer of 2022 was a summer that celebrated women’s sport, where it became clear how far women’s sport had come.

IP Sales Manager Martin Evans said: “With the fanfare of the men’s Euros last summer, it is great to see the same enthusiasm and excitement with women’s football. A home championships offers us the chance to be involved in the growth of women’s football. The NEP Connect Anylive network has provided the perfect platform for our Lionesses to inspire a generation of young girls to get involved in football has been an absolute pleasure. And to top it all off Football finally came home!”

NEP Connect was proud to be part of a historic UEFA Women’s Euros 2022 which saw England go all the way. In locations up and down the country, NEP Connect was at the heart of a historic summer for women’s Football, which during the group phases saw multiple games broadcast each night. Records were broken with television and live audiences. Whisper TV selected NEP Connect’s Anylive network for their remote production of the coverage shown on BBC One,BBC Two and iPlayer.

And it’s not just been football that has been making strides in the right direction! This autumn has seen England host the men’s, women’s, and wheelchair Rugby League World Cups. Fans had to wait an extra year for the tournament due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but the tournament will leave an impact that lasts generations!
